VAN LIER has been a leading international shoe brand for more than 200 years. A brand where quality, craftsmanship, design and innovation in the field of sustainability prevail. With roots in a real family company, not only Mr Van Spaendonck (design) but also several descendants of the van Spaendonck family now fulfil an important role within the VAN LIER organization. 
With the launch of the vegan Novara sneaker in 2020, a new era has begun. One in which sustainability is not only a word within the VAN LIER family but also a way of living. Important choices are made when it comes to selecting our producers as well as in the choice of materials to be used. By now, plastic packaging materials have been replaced by paper and we are looking innovatively at the reuse of materials for the production of shoe soles, among other things. VAN LIER is also building a VAN LIER forest along the A2 highway near Vught. In this way, VAN LIER is trying to give a little bit back to nature and contribute to reducing CO2 emissions.
With the rejuvenation within the VAN LIER family, there will also be a new movement in 2021. That is the VNLR collection. Our VNLR sneakers are complicated in design, clean styling but with many luxurious details, with more lines. Materials are combined, bold in colour but always stylish. VNLR sneakers are an understated statement, you will get positive reactions on that!

Van Lier

These lace-up shoes are made of sturdy quality smooth leather. The lace-up shoes have an elegant look and are provided with a print on the instep. The shoes have a leather lining and a removable footbed. The blue rubber sole is sewn through from the inside. The fit of these shoes is comfortable and roomy.

English (UK) and French (EU) sizes
We have 2 different size ranges in our assortment &#8211; the French size range (EU), which runs from size 38 to size 48 and the English range from size 5 to size 13. (UK)
There is a certain overlap in the French and English size range, but you will often see that not all sizes are available if the shoe originally has a French size range. That is because articles with a French size range are often produced in whole sizes, sizes 38 to 48, where the half sizes are therefore missing.
